Cruz is a know family of Puente del Arzobispo from the province of Toledo, in central part of Spain. For many generations they have been making ceramic. It's totally family run business. The eldest brother, Emilio Cruz is now the director, but his father and mother still help in making and painting ceramic.
The men make the ceramic and the ladies paint the pieces. You will notice the style is very particular. It’s known as "Puntilla", style, that we could translate as crochet style. Everything is painted with very find brushes with a great intensity of designs and colour. Very very time consuming, as you can imagine.
The beauty of this ceramic is certainly very appreciated by the people that like craftsmanship, it's a very unique style. That can make beautiful dish services, in the colour scheme you wish.
